New Artist: Stage Hands (ft. Matt Miller)

 

Hidden behind the almost theological feel of Brandon Locher's project "Stage Hands" lingers a feeling of deep contemplation. What does this mean? On the outside it's an almost mumble; a synth serenade basking in its own obscurity. Locher, who's also a visual artist for the collective Ghostly, sculpts and carves out a warm place for listeners to hide. The tracks eight minute length might be dissuading, but like all instrumentals (which this is, save for brief moments of Locher's voice rising up from the proverbial ashes) Locher allows this track to breathe.
