Midnight Swim Club: Sleepwalker

artworks-000105377134-ql77ju-t500x500 Los Angeles based Midnight Swim Club describe their sound as “sex on drugs”. Vibrant synths, deep, dark, swelling bass lines, beats that make you move and a voice that is as sultry as it is powerful.

Front man Derrick Oshana and bassist Gray Robertson met working at a restaurant, with a desire to make music that fell somewhere between Tame Impala and D'Angelo, and with shades of James Blake's style of production. They started collaborating together and eventually found drummer/programmer Chris Chamberlain through a craigslist ad. With the initial meet up ending at LA's notorious beats club - The Low End Theory, the trio knew that something felt right.

The band have spent the last year writing and purposefully not playing shows or releasing music until it felt right. This time has come, and the band are excited to get some of their hard work out to the world.

Be sure to check Midnight Swim Club tonight for free at School Night in Hollywood. WE FOUND NEW MUSIC will also be there spinning between sets! Come say hi to both the band and myself!
