Sound Remedy: We Are The Dream (Saturn Remix)

I think it goes without saying that there are too many remixes these days that aren't anything but a half-hearted redux of the original. Too many remixers take the ingredients of a song, dress them up with a bit more punch or a few different synths and call it a remix. Sure - technically it counts - but it never quite feels like a proper remix.

But lucky for us, we're getting a real remix from Saturn today. The 16 year old producer has rebooted Sound Remedy's We Are The Dream with hazy synths, fuzzy pads, and a just a tinge of Jersey Club percussion. Where most remixers would finish up a first verse and chorus and rinse and repeat until the end of the tune, Saturn lets this poignantly lilting edit flow from new section to new section, unencumbered by traditional song structures. This song = on repeat all morning long.
