Slaptop: Distraction

artworks-000099698073-c4fkht-t500x500 After making his grand debut with “Sunrise” a mere six months ago, Slaptop has been churning out stellar remixes for the likes of Zhu, Jaymes Young, and even Maroon 5.

Now the San Francisco producer is back with “Distraction”, a slightly darker house number that trades in the shredding trumpet and summertime vibes of “Sunrise” for dark synths and a Drive soundtrack-reminiscent underground feel perfectly suited for the dancefloor. Even with these differences in mind, the young producer manages to maintain the carefree nature of “Sunrise” throughout this new track; somehow, with only two originals under his belt, it seems as though Slaptop has already created his signature sound.
