Ricoshëi: Fantasy

LA-based Ricoshëi is the musical alter ego of Nikko Gibler and Jake Patrick, an electronic duo who has eluded easy categorization, and with their latest release, "Fantasy," shows no sign of bucking that trend. The ensemble’s rich, cinematic orchestration skews the traditional EDM confinements and draws from a number of inspirations — but ultimately emerges with a sound that is grander and more unique than the sum of its parts. Something tells me this duo owns a collection of vintage keyboards, an array of drum machines and other shimmering sonic beds that provide some serious launching places (and landing pads) for their soaring melodies.
