Warpaint: Feeling Alright (Daughter Remix)

It’s the second of the Daughter/Warpaint collaboration remixes, and we find that Daughter’s reimagining of the Warpaint song ‘Feeling Alright’ is every bit as dramatic as we could’ve hoped. It holds the same apocalyptic feel as its sister track, full of ghostly vocals and ominous guitar interjections, but feels less abrupt and more soothing. It’s almost as if the end of the world is unavoidable and the only option is to sway contentedly back and forth in a Melancholia-esque waiting game. Although we’ve heard the last of this round of collaborative remixes, our fingers are crossed for another in the future! If the world hasn’t ended first, that is.
