Ennui: Yi

500 Chicago's own musical maestro is back at it. After his Banks remix hit Hype Machine's front page a few months back (and more recently the release of his remix for Duke Dumont) the electronic mastermind has been hard at work carving out the perfect tonal palettes. (Trust me, I've heard more than a few and they're all certified bangers.)

The first of these forthcoming releases is Yi, a synth-soaked foray that defines what sonic space really means. With reverberating tones fluttering in and out, a kick drum as big as a gorilla's fist, and enough pristine percussion work to put the Blue Man Group out of work there's no way you'll be able to sit still to this.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have to turn this up to 11 and play over and over and over. I suggest you do the same.
