Zella Day: Hypnotic

I'm kind of obsessed with Zella Day. She's like a less damaged, desert pop version of Fiona Apple. Her tune "Hypnotic" is just plain good. And cool. It's one of those rare songs that can slide into any room pretty easily. Like, it could be the theme song to Pretty Little Liars or played by some hipster DJ in a dive bar. I also know for a fact that she has successfully un-jaded music industry types. I mentioned her to a friend over lunch who is generally not enthused by any new artists at the moment and his face lit up like a Christmas tree. Zella is coming for you, world! Her new EP is out today, so enjoy.
