Sophia Black: Vibration

Screen shot 2014-10-21 at 10.17.27 PM Yesssss. Finally. New Sophia Black. I've worn the play button on her BASECAMP produced OVR AGN since it hit my inbox last April, and have been spinning her debut Kissing since I heard it many moons ago. And with only two songs to play on my Sophia rotations, I'm SO ecstatic that this new tune slice of aural perfection has dropped.

I could ramble on for pages about all the musical intricacies that keep me hooked on this song, but I think it's better to frame this one as an analogy. You know those early Spring mornings right after it rains? It's quiet, but deafening. The air hasn't quite yet woken up from Winter and the morning dew hangs in a thin, fragile haze over the ground. Until the sun hits, that is. The haze that was there before bends into a slew of technicolor swirls and dots the ground like a spilt paint set. It's at that point right there - right before it and directly in between it - that's exactly where this song exists. And it's beautiful.
