Viceroy feat. Penguin Prison: The Life (Dave Edwards Remix)

NYC based remixer Dave Edwards is back in a big way with his first release since we premiered his take on Chris Brown's Loyal, this time taking on Viceroy's summer single The Life featuring Penguin Prison.

We've come to know Dave for his upbeat electro-pop take on tunes from The Knocks, Duke Dumont, and Avicii, but this time around he explores new sounds, with obvious influences from Deep House and Nu Disco. In his own words "Chris' vocals were a ton of fun to work with because they could so easily fit into so many different sounds/genres, and I decided to take this one in a very different direction from the other music I've released this year. I tried to put a lot of different sounds that I've been listening to recently - 90s Piano House, Deep, and Future House - into a unique mix and add my usual touch of pop sensibility to it. The result is a remix that I think is the perfect soundtrack to the start of fall, and I couldn't be happier with how this one turned out."
