NYC's brother-sister combo, Paperwhite, have been one of the discoveries of 2014. They've quietly gone around their buisness, crafting pop with real attention to emotive writing, while also making music to move to. The retro-throwback sound is something done by many others circulating but there's no hint of following a trend here, as their trademark ability to approach with crisp, clean production is almost instantly recognizable in the genre.
