Paris Carney: Your Woman (White Town Cover)

There are very few artists that I hear that I've been absolutely unequivocally in love with. I'm talking about the kind whose vocal nuances and melodic choices hit me right in the heart and send butterflies from my brain straight to my bones. Really, those musicians and artists that hit home so hard are so desperately few and far between.

Luckily, Paris Carney is one of those artists. And she delivers on this brilliantly reimagined cover of White Town' tune, Your Woman. Ethereally slung synths hang low behind a cascade of groove-soaked beats and a wall of vocal harmonies. This is all happening while Paris hits the vocal performance with a sublime mixture of intensity and poignancy that sends shivers directly down my spine.
