Basecamp: Shudder
Mmmmm these Basecamp tunes are always so crispy. Full of trembling synthesis, trailing digital blips, and smokey backstops. It's a treasure to listen to new tunes from these three. Really - I mean that - it's never not been a unabashed aural treat.
All being said, it sounds like this Nashville trio are moving into a slightly more melodic realm (and I adore that). After producing a beautiful tune for Sophia Black, and judging from the sticky sweet haze of the verses in this song, it sounds like Basecamp's next body of work will have a bit more melody in store for listeners. Plus, this album cover is the first piece of artwork we've seen from the boys that hasn't been painted in black & white. Obviously it's final piece of evidence in my theory. All systems go.
