Lana Del Rey: Ultraviolence (The Penelopes Remix)
I never thought I'd hear Lana like this. I'm used to hearing this brilliant songstress either downplayed, or in a gigantic drop filled Cedric Gervais reboot. It's nice to catch this funked out version of Ms. Del Rey courtesy of The Penelopes Big ole bass grooves fill out the bottom end, while stabbing piano chords hold down the harmonic edges. And, of course, there's more percussion than you can shake a stick at. Really, this one's going on the 'Nu-disco that I keep around forever' playlist. (Plus anything Lana touches, obviously.)
