BROODS: Bridges (Music Video)

Coming across this Bridges video from the ever so good looking Broods duo was everything I needed today. It was like all of my frustrations and collective bad days over the past week just exploded and presented themselves all over the screen. I think this may even be the first time that any conversation with those fortunate enough to cross my path hasn’t ended with me thumping them over the head with my favorite “struggle is real” excerpt from the book of life bible. Maybe the struggle doesn’t have to be real. Or perhaps maybe it is, but knowing that we’re all struggling through this life thing together can bring comfort that at least we aren’t alone. Shit happens. Sometimes people are shitty to you. Sometimes, YOU are shitty to people. We regret things. We hurt people. We burn bridges; but maybe some bridges were meant to be burned. Maybe if you can turn around and at least find beauty in the flame that is now too late to take back, it might not all be for nothing. Sorry to get all philosophical and deep on that ass today but like I said it’s been a rough week for me AND my beloved Maya Angelou died today? WTF! To quote the OG Queen B, the OG boss ass bitch herself, “people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” And that is exactly what this Bridges video is seeping with. These two and this video is a rare gem that needs to be felt by as many people as possible. To say they #nailedit #SOhard would be an understated insult. Just watch it.
