Strangeheart: Problems
Singer/songwriter Jeff Thompson, formerly of Young Digerati, started Strangeheart after relocating from Northern California to LA. Thompson and multi-instrumentalist Brandon Queen officially formed the group in late 2012, and quickly created a buzz with the release of their first single, "In Another Life." Released in early 2013, "In Another Life" topped the Hype Machine popular charts and peaked on We Are Hunted's 99 Hottest Tracks at #25.
In October 2013, Strangeheart released their second single, "How to Feel Right" which was written with LA producer Ran Pink at Fonogenic Studios. The success of the collaboration led Strangeheart to work on their entire debut album at Fonogenic Studios where they also picked up drummer James Longstreet to play on the record. This led to Longstreet's membership in the band, solidifying the current lineup.
Now the indie pop trio shares a third track "Problems" off their 11-track album A Common Theme, out now on iTunes. Strangeheart, who draws upon influence from modern bands such as Crystal Castles and Empire of the Sun, to 80's bands like The Cure and Pet Shop Boys, is known for their pure electro pop sound.
