[VIDEO] Emily King: Distance

Wow.

This is beautiful. From the endlessly slipping seventh chords to Emily King's gorgeous voice to the inexplicably moving shot of roses being drenched in pastel, everything about this release is perfect. I can't tell you what it is about all the elements in the video (from eggs, to roses, to ping pong paddles), or what it is about the split and wide-screen aesthetic that turns my heart into one million knots and places one thousand frogs into my throat but, rest assured, they're there. And to be honest I'm a bit overwhelmed by this perfect pairing between visual and musical. Beautiful stuff.

Props to Ms. King for the music and props to COLONY Studios Brooklyn for the brilliant visual accompaniment. I think I'll be the first to go ahead and ask, when's the next one? I'll be here, (im)patiently waiting.
