Futurecop!: Lost Love (feat. DWNTWN) (Sunglasses Kid Remix)

 

Britain's enigmatic synth-pop group Futurecop! release another glittery gem that's recently been remixed by Sunglasses Kid. "Riding a unicorn through the clouds, towards the Northern Lights whilst wielding a lightsaber," is how they describe themselves and I cannot help but agree- it's hard to listen and not smile. There's a childlike spirit embedded in each chord progression and shining vocals.

Pure 80s at it's most sugary, Futurecop! somehow embraces maturation (as we all must inevitably do), yet sonically acknowledges the kid that never quite left us. Just like that need to run in tall grass without shoes. For the listener unafraid of being anything but themselves, watch the sun go down as you press play.
