[PREMIERE] Prides: The Seeds You Sow (Draper Remix)
Everyone complains about Monday mornings. Not me. I sit down with a big ole' cup of coffee, do a couple dawn-streaked jumping jacks and rummage through my inbox for some early week jams. Maybe there's a nice trappy number, some rumbling deep house, or even some sparking electro pop. It depends on the season (and who's awake sending emails at 7am), but this week I got a little nugget that's a bit more special than the usual music that comes cascading out of my speakers.
It's a sunshine-soaked dance rendition of 'The Seeds You Sow, a tune originally by Prides, but twisted into something new by Draper (best known for his Ellie Goulding and Passion Pit remixes). It's got buzzing synths, sidechained pads, and a kick drum as big as the sun itself. If I didn't know any better, I'd say this remix is an omen for Spring to finally show its face.
We're keeping our ears to the ground for the next release from Prides. After a stellar SXSW debut, and a recent tour with RAC, we'd say these fine gents are poised to infect your eardrums with some shockingly catchy new tunes. Don't worry - we'll be the first to let you know.
