[PREMIERE] POWERS - Money (K-Zilla Remix)

A romping, billowing rendition of POWERS hit my inbox last night and I am absolutely in love. The hazy rendition of Money was remixed by K-Zilla (The production maestro behind KKS favorite, Chelsea Lankes, and a brilliant songsmith in his own right). It's got swelling waves of 80's synthscapes and skittering percussion tincturing all across my speakerfield, and it's tied up by the voices of Mike Del Rio and Crista Ru, the two musical masterminds behind LA based POWERS

The two may spend their free time writing for some of the bigger names in music (Selena Gomez, Kylie Minogue, just to name a few), but their true power (see what I did there?) lies in their own artistically released work. They've got the production chops of the best Top 40 acts, the centered sincerity of the bedroom based singer-songwriters, and the melody centric approach that the greatest tin pan alley tunesmiths have always touted. POWERS may not be a household name quite yet, but don't let that fool you for a second. With musical chops like this, you're going to want to get on board before they break into your speakers of their own accord. And at this point, that's only a matter of time.
