Hello. Thursday. Remixes.
The music video for Chromeo's "Come Alive" had us watching all kinds of weird science unfold as Dave, Pee and Chaz shimmy in a shopping mall. Now the Le Youth remix has me shimmying too. WET PAINT takes Stevie Wonder's 1976 funk/disco hit "I Wish" and turns it into a psychedelic remix reality. Australia's Gold Fields put Tinashe's "Vulnerable" on the chopping block and from the pieces of the sultry original cooked up this house remix. And rounding out this batch is Sgt Slick's 2014 Filter Freaker remix of Deborah Cox's "It's Over Now." The mix is so happy and upbeat you'll almost naturally tune out whatever it is Deborah's bitching about. Can I get a like?
