Awake.: Traveler

Because, really, who doesn’t want to dance? This track is some kind of sonic explosion that builds to that point of no return where I think I'm about to burst (in the best way possible).  Released just ten days ago by the 18- year-old Greek producer, Awake., neé Oliver Geraci, this recent track is impossibly infectious. It reminds me of some kind of carnival where mischief abounds and being sprayed with glitter is not out of the question. It’s an impossible kind of fun with a deafly silence when it comes to an end.

Awake. magically balances the repetitive nature of his synth usage with the lack of vocals and places drops at just the right moments. In no way am I bored or annoyed. If anything this track ends far too early for my liking.

As exponentially cliché as it is to describe head bobbing in music journalism- I truly did not have another immediate reaction (yes, I could feel my resemblance to a pigeon spreading). That’s just part of the beauty of music- you can’t always care how you look when something makes you feel this good.
