[REVIEW] #KKSPopUp 4 @ U Street Music Hall
Kick Kick Snare wasted no time jumpstarting 2014 the only way we know how - a massive dance party with all our closets friends! We picked up the phone called AVAN LAVA & Bright Light Bright Light and had them hop the first train down to DC while we packed up our confetti cannons and disco balls to move the party to U Street Music Hall. Long time DC besties Shea Van Horn & Matt Bailer couldn't turn down a dance party and joined in the fun to keep the party going after the stage cleared.
The night drew hundreds of fans and friends all ready to dance and sing along with Bright Light Bright Light & AVAN LAVA. The night started with KKS's very own Caleb L'Etoile playing the best house & nu-disco on one of the best sound systems in the entire country. After a few drinks and some dancing the U.K.'s very own electro wonder took the stage with his incredible friends Bridget and Xavier to give DC the show it's been waiting to see again since the very first Pop Up show! The three voices came together for a powerful experience with ample leopard prints & shoulder work.
There is no better experience than hearing an entire dancehall sing along with one of your favorite artists, but that was just the beginning of the night! AVAN LAVA jumped on stage, lights flashing and bass booming! With in seconds the entire floor was full of wildly dancing fans of every possible persuasion. For the next 45 minutes no one took their eyes off the stage as AVAN LAVA brought the house down.
