[Best of 2013] Favorite Song: Todd Terje - Strandbar (Samba)

Space disco genius Todd Terje released a handful of big singles this year in preps for his debut LP in 2014, but nothing stood out like 'Strandbar (Samba Version).' Strandbar (which is Norwegian for beach bar) is a 9 minute piano house epic that capitalizes on burbling synths and feel good vibes. It's an epic continuation of the saga started with "Ragysh" and "Inspector Norse," and the samba beat backing it all is absolutely irresistible. Todd Terje makes music that is unabashedly happy and infectious, and this song ends up making everything in life feel just a little bit better.
