[BEST OF 2013] Favorite New Artist: Bird To Beast

Bird To Beast is my pick for Favorite New Artist of 2013, by way of their song "Elephant." I'm all about following the signs here. First, if you know me personally you'll know that elephants are all around me. Literally. My other (better) half has an unmatched love for the melancholy creatures, as displayed throughout our house. Paintings, statues, frames--the leaders, the gentle giants, the playful rogues and the reliable plodders, we got em in all shapes and sizes. Also, Sam and Hannah Hird that make up this psych-folk duo have a pretty coincidental last name <----again, personal. Not to mention my affinity for doo-wop sounds of yesteryear with timeless melodies and soaring harmonies recreated to bring something fresh and unique.
