j.viewz: Holding A Map
A great tune from Brooklyn-based j.viewz hit his soundcloud this morning. Taken from his Far Too Close Remix EP, the funk-dipped track is a journey through retro horns, fling-flangy guitars, and big fat - yet tastefully subdued - synth backing tracks. And those intro bells! What a sound. My bet is that those little glasslike doo-dads are coming straight from a Yamaha DX7 that's been tweaked into perfection. But regardless of what j.viewz is doing to get his sounds, one thing's for sure, he's doing it right. Listen below!
