Elizabeth Rose: The Good Life (Emoh Instead 'Poolside' Mix)

There's a name for the general genre of this remix, I know there is. And sure, I could go spend few hours garnering enough information about the 'ideal version' of a tune in this style, but it wouldn't matter - and here's why: Emoh Instead would break those rules before I even had a chance to type out the first inkling of thought about genre.

Now, before I get ahead of myself, let's take a minute to focus on the young lady melodist strewn across the treetops of this tune. Elizabeth Rose, another Australian based musician (man WHAT is in the water over there?) wrote the (quite wonderful) original version of this tune a few months back. And her intricately hooky vocals tuck themselves into the delicately carved nooks and crannies of Emoh Instead's brilliantly minimalist production perfectly. Now don't get me wrong when I say minimalist - this remix was made for sublime poolside parties - it just happens to fall on of "Listen to This With Your Best Headphones Infinity Times In A Row" playlist as well.

And you know, if I had an infinite repeat button - well hot dang - I might just call this The Good Life.
