major leaguess "Silver Tides" opens with surfy vibes, setting the tone for things to come - lots of moody rock, nicely timed upswings, and a brigade of fuzzed-out guitars. Sure, it's a great driving song for those nostalgic coastal drives, but perhaps this is a new heyday of California indie? (or Australia, where they're from). All I know is that Major Leaguess' sound is major, and likely conceived under strange influences. Call it a hunch.
