Introducing: Elderbrook
Singer/producer Elderbrook comes at us by way of Bath. His voice moves between a world weary lower register with the captivating presence of story tellers like (early) Alex Turner and Ghost Poet to a smooth James Blake style r&b croon. The production is light and eclectic, often combining found sounds over stuttered beats and complex vocal textures.
The songs feel like short vignettes run on a huge depth of emotion and are ultimately some of the most effective future r&B/leftfield pop I've heard all year. With a debut album in the works for January, he will definitely be impossible to ignore come 2014.
