Le Trouble: Mission Bell

Le Trouble- Mission Bell Montreal's gritty, party-starting garage-y punks Le Trouble released their debut EP 'Reality Strikes' last week through Lava Records. They have a new track out called "Mission Bell," which you can download free, below. These guys are definitely one of my favorite discoveries of the year... not many bands can bounce between so many different genres throughout the course of a six-song EP, and do it well, but they pull it off with ease.

Seriously, there's not a bad song on this record. Evident throughout are shout-along choruses, guitar riffs that get stuck in your head for days, an uber-tight rhythm section, and undeniable hooks. Their singer Michael Mooney is no slouch in the lyric department either… his quick-witted, whiskey-soaked storytelling ability adds a whole different dimension to Reality Strikes.
