Moods: Take You There
Happy Friday, everybody - we made it. I usually take this time to post some speaker shattering, kick drum engulfing electro beat that will rattle your brain into weekend mode - but this Friday feels different. Coming off Halloween's sugar rush, I think it's time we take a minute and regroup.
For this special occasion, I'm calling up Danish producer Moods, to cure us of the candy hangover. He grooves with dusty drum breaks and hollowed out electric pianos on Fela Kuti's Water No Get Enemy and the result is a sublimely laid back track, with just enough backbeat to get your feet moving, and just enough care to keep your poor aching sweet tooth at bay.
