Typefighter: Much

DC band Typefighter is back at it with a brand new single and debut album in the works. The 4 piece's previous two Eps are full of charming and irresistible folk-twinged indie rock. Singer, Ryan Mclaughlin's clever lyrics over light melodic arrangements easily get stuck in your head for days, and their aptly titled 'fall winter fall' provided a perfect backdrop to my last two autumns. The band can also lay claim to one of the most arresting live shows in the area.

"Much" is Typefighter's new single and shows them venturing into territories they've only hinted at before. Brash guitars, fist pumping sing-alongs, and a seemingly endless supply of energy make this the best three minutes you'll hear all week. It feels like riding a roller coaster with friends in the way it constantly seems like its going to throw you off the tracks, but by the time it stops, you're all laughing because of how awesome it was. This is the same Typefighter we've come to love, but louder and more assured. The song flirts with pop punk and nostalgia, and it is a great example of Typefighter's ability to play intriguing rock music that also appeals equally to your pop and sentimental sides. It also manages to bounce between 15 and 4 without losing any pop appeal, which is impressive enough in itself.

"Much" is the first single off the band's debut LP 'The End of Everything,' which is currently scheduled for sometime in early 2014.
