The Sounds Return!

Swedish new wave indie rockers, and hands down one of the best bands on the planet, THE SOUNDS, are back and bringing their explosive music with them on a new album, WEEKEND, out October 29th. If Shake Shake Shake is any indication we can expect the same punky raucous energy that THE SOUNDS have made their trademark, along with dark and brooding rock tracks like the title track to balance out the explosive energy with a little heart. According to keyboardist/guitar player Jesper Anderberg “WEEKEND is more of a back to basics album. I was primarily looking for a groove when I started writing this album – a groove based on five members who have been playing music together for a long time. We weren’t looking to overthink the song writing, and especially wanted to make it sound like we just hit the switch on the amps and just started playing the songs.”

To celebrate the new album THE SOUNDS are heading to North America for a handful of tour dates, with a larger tour coming this spring. Make sure to check them out if they are coming to a city near you, THE SOUNDS are a not a live band to be missed.
