KKS EXCLUSIVE: Junior Prom - Sheila Put The Knife Down

When I hear the phrase Junior Prom I think about drinking 40s in a Taco Bell parking lot and hiding the evidence in some bushes before heading to the big dance. There are vivid flashbacks to awkward PG-13 freak dancing to Nelly tunes and not-so classy balloon archways. Luckily, Brooklyn duo Junior Prom is here now to bring us fresh and much improved memories of our school dance days. Their latest single "Sheila Put The Knife Down" is just an all around good time. It will definitely make you want to dance, but the good kind of dancing where you point and shimmy and do paddle turns with your head turned towards the heavens as opposed to twerking or dropping it like it's hot. It's the kind of song that makes you want to invest in a confetti cannon so you can make a serious entrance into the party zone. In fact, Junior Prom is heading out on tour next month and I demand confetti cannons everywhere! If the cannons are on back order, I suggest BYO smoke machines and party poppers.
