BE003-Cover-1024x1024Multimedia arts collective, Wizard Sleeve, are to electronic music what the lost boys are to Peter Pan. The group of producers and artists out of Guilford, England have a knack for audio exploration and their sound experiments are delicious and well deserving of your attention. Producing everything from bass to beats, they've been pushing their art forward for 2 years and, in addition to a steady radio show and compilation series, they now run a label, a blog, a party in London, and a visual installation project called PLYGN. Yesterday, they released Beat Emporium Vol. 3 for free on their website, and have proved that they can solidly one up themselves. BE3 is 8 tracks of wry electronica featuring everything from airy, sample-based soundscapes to earth shakingly low bass lines. The self-described "downtempo" mix has a bit more contemplative feeling than their previous releases, but there's also plenty of spice in tracks like The Happy Cat's "Coffee Eyes" and Capeface's "Treehouse" to keep you going.
