HAIM: The Wire (Tourist Remix)
Tourist's remix of HAIM's "The Wire" is a glistening noir-wave production of tropical marimba and shuffling grooves that for one reason or another makes me miss La Roux. It rises from graceful beginnings to a rousing, insatiable crescendo. Fans have championed the original as a favorite since its release about a month ago, but it still feels fresh and vital as it soars with everlasting sentiments of young love and heartbreak.
