All young bands go through growing pains, and Gold Fields is no exception. It took three different tries before they made a version of their debut album, Black Sun that met their expectations. Like their explosive live shows and the self-titled EP that preceded it in 2012, the Australian quintet's debut full-length displays invention, drive, and a commitment to artistic expression that belies the group's tender years.
Gold Fields’ knack for writing songs that are accessible yet multi-layered, with tints of darkness and interwoven melancholy shine in their debut album 'Black Sun.' Now the boys show off their production talent in a brand new remix of fellow Australians Empire of the Sun's "Alive." Just a few weeks ago Gold Fields shared an uptempo yet chilled out remix of Chela's "Romanticise," adding swirling synths to the track that bubble with effervescence.
The Australian quintet also announced a Kickstarter and 30-date North American headlining live tour that kicks off in Vancouver at the end of August with support from Rush Midnight (Cascine).
