Saint Motel: My Type
Saint Motel is mind-blowing convergence of explosive pop, psychedelic dance, and glorious indie-rock. Now you think that would be enough for any band, but nope, Saint Motel had to go and one up themselves and throw in a smooth brass powered flair to the sound with their latest single 'My Type'. The new track is completely addictive, hip controlling pop brilliance.
Their music is has been featured on 90210, MTV's The Hills, VH1 shows, E! News, ABC Family's "Make It Or Break It," the popular THQ video game Saints Row 3, KCRW, and KROQ. The band's keen visual sensibility has yielded an array of stunningly original videos that accompany songs from their debut EP ForPlay, released via the band's record label On The Records and the physical or digital version of ForPlay includes the free added bonus of the beautiful, ultra-conceptualized videos for each song.
Now I haven't seen Saint Motel live myself, but I have been told such things as "Saint Motel is known for their over-the-top performances" where it seems "stages become forests and living rooms, and shows become kaleidoscopic mind explosions in 3D." Yeah not sure exactly what that all means, I like my couch right where it is, but hell if it doesn't make me want to go out and see this musical magic for myself. Fortunately Saint Motel are about to kick off a tour supporting Hockey across the US. Make sure you get your tickets for the show, but first we recommend bolting down your living furniture.
