ARMS: Comfort

ARMS has been and will continue to be one of the best indie bands of the last few years. The primary vehicle for one-time Harlem Shaker, Todd Goldstein, ARMS songs play like carefully crafted indie rock gems that are as immediately accessible as pop songs with a lasting depth and intrigue that makes them feel like miniature novels. Last year's Summer Skills was a flawless album that left me eagerly anticipating Goldstein's next move, and that time has finally come.

EP2 will be released in September on Paper Garden records with lead single "Comfort" debuting last week. Sonically, it feels like a natural extension of the ARMS catalog--Lush arrangements with tangible hints of autumn that feel simultaneously as upbeat as they are relaxing. "Comfort" is an immediate and confident declaration that ARMS is back and on a steady path onwards and upwards.
