July 4th has come and gone, but the summer time memories are still fresh, along with sun tans. Brooklyn duo Sensual Harassment have made the perfect nostalgic video that uniquely ties summer memories long past with the warm glow of post holiday summer. The visual inspiration for their new single 'Capri Suntan' comes from an amazing piece of 8mm film that shows a young beach-bound couple living in Hawaii at the peak of its grasp on the American psyche in 1965. The footage surfaced on YouTube, which according to Sensual Harassment, "had been thought to be lost for the last 25 years. After being offered the raw and uncut home movie footage to use for their video, the band thought it would be fitting to recut a new video for their song using the footage to tell the love story of the young couple - a posthumous collaboration since the cameraman and father in question, Melvin P. Miller, had long since passed away." The final video is an intimate and evocative portrait of love in the tropical sun, creating an enduring video love letter to Hawaii and summer romances everywhere.
